Year 4 News

Year 4 have had an outstanding end to the term. Janet and Brad have been very pleased with everyone’s excellent effort in lessons. For Christmas, the children have been writing, coding and animating their own Christmas stories that relate to their topic ‘Food affects our health, happiness and energy’. Also for our seasonal topic, the children have been making Christmas trees using tissue paper and algebraic paper chains to decorate the classroom.

In the spring term, the children will begin their topic ‘Animals are classified into different groups and can be given human qualities’. This topic develops a deep understanding of the different features of the animals and questions why different animals have developed particular traits over time. The children will be learning about and how to write fictional narratives. Year 4 would love to hear from any parents that have a particular interest in the area.

Brad and Janet wish everyone a happy and safe Christmas break.
We hope you have a fantastic holiday!
