Year 2 News

How quickly time has flown since the beginning of the academic year and we find ourselves at the Christmas break! The children of Year 2 have been so engaged throughout this term and finish master minds in the Great Fire of London. We have battled buboes, met with firefighters and conquered the seemingly never- ending spiral staircase to reach the top of the Monument to the Great Fire. Just when I thought I couldn’t be any prouder of my wonderful Year 2 children they really excelled themselves on our Great Fire of London walk. Prompting our tour guide to comment that we were the most well-behaved class she has ever had to pleasure to accompany. Polite, full of enthusiasm and courageous in climbing to the top of the Monument. They were real role models! Our letters to Santa have been written, both in the present day and as Tudor children. The lords have been leapt, the swans have been swum. We wish you all a very merry Christmas and look forward to seeing everyone in 2020! Tom and Ann
