Last week, Year 1 wandered, not quite as lonely as a cloud, but as an excited  group of children on a cloud spotting mission! We are learning about Weather and this was our initial foray into this interesting topic.  To our delight, we recognised cirrus and cumulus clouds in a bright blue sky and even saw a cloud in the shape of a dragon!  On our return to school, Year 1 worked in small groups to create their own cotton wool clouds.  We are looking forward to continuing our topic by learning about precipitation.  This is very timely as there are some amongst us who, with the arrival of this very cold weather, are enthusiastically anticipating snow - as forecasted recently.  Whether (!) it snows or not, this topic is providing much scope for wonderful science investigations and art activities, and the children's engagement is infectious.
