Exams and interviews are still taking place. Next comes the waiting time, before the results are known and can be published, then passed on to you. I am not a great fan of this process and I am aware that it can be an anxious time for parents. The children, who are candidates, deserve our congratulations and respect, for the ways in which they handle the process of selection, often in competition with their friends. The children do benefit, however, from hearing their parents’ reassurance and support during these ‘testing times’, but we all must remember that the whole spirit of Dallington is to do and achieve for yourself.
