Platinum Jubilee Celebrations

There was a sense of pomp, pageantry and civic pride throughout Dallington, as all children participated in Platinum Jubilee themed activities during the last week of half-term.

The Nursery children spent the whole weekday learning about Her Majesty The Queen, why we are celebrating this historic Platinum Jubilee throughout the United Kingdom and discovered what key events have influenced the Queen's reign.

During the week, the Nursery children did some fun activities in preparation for their own Platinum Jubilee street party that included being artistic when making their own coronation crowns, learning the National Anthem and baking both Union Jack cupcakes and Queen's tarts!

At the end of the week, all Nursery children thoroughly enjoyed their own street party with food, beverages, listening to classic music and watching the Queen's coronation.

Meanwhile, there was a Platinum Jubilee party themed party last Friday - for the rest of the children at Seward Street. This was an exciting event with lots of sweet treats, music and fun which fittingly marked the end of another jam packed half-term at Dallington.

We hope you all enjoy watching the Platinum Jubilee celebrations over the half-term break.
