Always do what you are afraid to do. Ralph Waldo Emerson
From Year 1, all the children have a weekly drama session.
Drama is an excellent way to develop confidence and social skills. Children are encouraged to speak and express themselves as part of a group. This starts with 'Show and Tell' sessions, develops to speaking about a topic and then acting out certain roles in short performances and plays
The children play drama games, learn to work with, depend on and encourage each other and develop their improvisation skills. Whilst most children find drama enjoyable, we also recognise it as an invaluable tool for self and social development.
