Mapping

We are learning about maps, their importance and the many ways maps are used. After a group walk to and from Finsbury Library we drew a class map showing the route taken. We used the digital camera to provide visual stimulation of landmarks along the way. We went on an orienteering exercise in our playground, to search for hidden markers and to plot points on a map of the playground. Finally we wrote stories of a Treasure Island Adventure and made 'Old Treasure Maps' using various art techniques to simulate age and wear.
