Upper Nursery

Welcome to Upper Nursery.
On this floor there are two groups, each of which has a teacher and a full time assistant. The children are aged four and five years. They are of mixed abilities and participate in a wide range of activities within the Foundation Stage.
During their time in Upper Nursery, the children are encouraged to participate in activities to help them achieve The Early Learning Goals. On entering Upper Nursery, the children are introduced to swimming, dance, French and music, on a weekly basis. These subjects are taught by specialist teachers.
The atmosphere we hope to create is a happy, supportive and a stimulating one, where each child is a valued individual.

Refining Our Skills and Our Favourite Authors
In Upper Nursery we believe that children need a firm foundation of basic skills before moving on to the more complex task of recording in a formal way. Through a variety of fun activities the children refine these skills and enjoy the process.
