we made an aquarium |
As part of our topic, the children decided to make an aquarium. A simple box was all we needed! We discussed what should go in it and this led to the making of lots of colourful fish, which were attached and hung from the top. We added shingle, shells, coral and crabs!! The children discovered that looking through a magnifying glass allows you to see all the detail on the shells and the amazing natural patterns that can be found in nature. |

Our art work involved exploring many different techniques. We created pictures that used mixed media. In these pictures we used oil pastels, watercolour, paper, fabric, felt pens, string and even sand! We have used lots of factual books to find out
about many different sea creatures. We read about sharks, whales,
starfish, seahorses, sqid, puffer fish and even electric eels!!
