The Wider World |

| This term we will be continuing to learn about the wider world in which we live. Weekly topics will include rain, friendship, Noah’s Ark, bears, Spring and Easter. The topic on rain really caught the imagination of the children and we ended up with a huge display across the whole of one wall, incorporating umbrellas, welly boots, poems, clouds and even an Incy-Wincy Spider climbing up a drain-pipe. Within each mini-topic we aim to include literacy and numeracy work, art and science. |  |

We also mark personal and cultural milestones,with birthday cakes and appropriate food preparation. For Chinese New Year, the children prepared a cold chop suey salad to take home, complete with a set of chop sticks.
