The children have also began to design and create
3D faery faces and goblins, using papier mache. This process has several
steps that begin with a blown-up balloon needing to be covered with
papier-mache. This has to be done in stages, as the balloon needs to
have at least four or five coats, before it can be cut into half in
order to create the actual mask. Once the mask is formed, the children
build up the eyes and nose and facial structure, before creating the
hair, using paper or string. It is then painted to complete the face. |
