During this term we are continuing to investigate the history of our local area. We have visited the Clerks Well site and other important local landmarks. During a visit to the Local History centre we had the opportunity to discover how the area around Dallington School and playground had changed over hundreds of years. We have also seen the renovated Lloyds milk cart and visited the site
of the shop. Inspired by our local markets, Year 4 have created their
own fruit stalls with clay and card. |

The Environment Year 4 are also looking at the many ways in which we can look after our environment. We will be visiting the Hop Farm Country Park to take part in Eco Schools Week. This will give us the opportunity to explore our impact on the world. As part of this project we are also looking at the work of Andy Goldsworthy, an artist who works entirely with natural materials. |

The B. F.G Year 4 have been working on scenes from the stage adaptation of the B.F.G. by Roald Dahl. We have explored the themes of friendship, bullying and being different. |
