Picasso and the Ballet Russes

We were lucky enough to be granted a backstage tour of The Royal Opera House in Covent Garden. The visit fitted in with the ‘costume design’ part of our Picasso project beautifully. The children experienced the buzz of a working wardrobe/costume department and were lucky enough to try on a few small pieces and headdresses.

We saw behind the scenes and were amazed at the sheer size of the off stage area. It was an inspirational day.
