We have investigated apples and oranges, looking at their external characteristics and making accurate and detailed observational drawings. We then dissected the fruit to expose the internal structure and seed arrangements. Again, we recorded this in drawings. We finished the investigation by sampling the fruit!

Following our visit to the National Gallery, to see the works of Van Gogh and Monet, we made our own drawings and paintings of different flowers. These included daffodils, tulips, hollyhocks etc. all of which feature in the song “In an English Country Garden”, which we have enjoyed singing. We will be making a class display of our own “country garden”
