delicious cakes

As part of our materials investigation we made cakes following a recipe. Non standard measurement ( an egg) was used to weigh out the different materials (ingredients). We also learnt how heat changes the consistency of the materials when we cooked them.

floating and sinking

Also as part of our materials programme, we looked at objects that floated and ones that sank.
Before testing, we predicted whether the various materials would sink or float and compared our guess with the actual result.
We found that plasticine sank – unless of course you make it into a boat, when it could even carry a passenger!
