Minibeasts

At the beginning of the term we had some frog spawn and we watched it over the weeks as the spawn grew from tadpoles to frogs. Then we returned these to the pond from which they came. We also had caterpillars which we saw turn into ‘Painted Lady Butterflies’. These have now been released into our head teacher’s garden! The children have been on a trip to ‘Gillespie Park’,where there was a chance to go bug hunting and find all sorts of interesting creatures. You can look up the park through visiting the Islington Ecology Centre website which is ecocentre@dial.pipex.com. All the children have produced some great artwork and have used a variety of resources such as clay, paint and collage.
