| Fairytales |
|
| The children have enjoyed reading and listening to some of their favourite fairytales as well as being introduced to some new stories. Some of their favourites have been Jack and the Beanstalk, The Three Billy Goats Gruff and The Three Little Pigs. Through these stories we have explored mathematical ideas such as size, number and opposites. |

Who's that trip trapping over my bridge? |
The stories have also provided inspiration for lots of creative activities. The stories the children have heard have become a focal point throughout their play, in particular, the puppets. The stories have also become a base for discussions on morals such as not talking to strangers, how to treat others etc. We have also looked at the structure of a story and sequencing of events. We had fun making our own books together. |
