Ourselves

 

Most of the children are new to Lower Nursery this term and all seem to have settled in well and are beginning to make friends.

We have done lots of self portraits, using different media. The children have used mirrors to look closely at their features. We have found that we all have different coloured eyes, hair and skin. Some children have spent time finding out who is the tallest in their group.

We have explored how we all use our senses. We have had fun playing with gloop and enjoying how it feels! It was very messy!!! We will also experiment with tasting different ingredients.
Now that the leaves are falling off the trees and Autumn is definitely here, we have been doing activities such as leaf rubbings, paintings, prints and collage. With the weather getting colder we have been thinking about how to keep warm.
